Statuses of Prospects

Updated over 2 months ago

Understanding prospect statuses is essential for tracking progress and managing your campaigns effectively. Here’s a detailed guide to help you navigate them.

Overview of Prospect Statuses

Each prospect added to a campaign is assigned a status, which reflects their progression within the campaign. These statuses are organized into three main categories:

1. Prospect Communication

This category tracks the interaction and engagement with your prospects.

  • NEW: The prospect has been added to the campaign but hasn’t been contacted yet.

  • CONTACTED: The prospect has been reached at least once via actions like Send Connection Request, Send InMail, Send Message, or Invite by Email.

  • CONNECTED: The prospect has accepted your connection request on LinkedIn.

  • REPLIED: The prospect has responded to an email or LinkedIn message. Campaigns for these prospects are automatically paused upon reply.

  • UNREACHABLE: The profile likely no longer exists. A notification such as “This page does not exist” will appear on the prospect’s page.

2. Lead Status

This category allows you to manage prospects based on their status as leads, customers, or exclusions.

  • LEAD: Assign this status to a prospect to mark them as a lead. Navigate to your Inbox, click on a prospect, and select Mark as Lead in the right-hand sidebar.

  • CUSTOMER: Once marked as a Lead, you can further update the status to Mark as Customer in the same interface.

  • EXCLUDED: Prospects excluded from campaigns (often due to Blacklist restrictions) are assigned this status.

If no specific status is assigned, it defaults to None (empty).

3. Pending

This category is for prospects with actions that couldn’t be executed, resulting in a Pending status.

  • PENDING: Assigned when an action is delayed or cannot be performed due to a specific "Stuck" reason.

For details on Stuck reasons, refer to this guide.

Managing and Viewing Prospect Statuses

By default, the Prospects list omits those with PENDING, EXCLUDED, and UNREACHABLE statuses. To display these, use the Filter option in the Prospects tab and select the desired status.

You can also filter prospects by a specific status within a campaign:

  1. Go to the Campaigns tab.

  2. Locate the desired campaign.

  3. Click the status (e.g., Contacted) to view all prospects with that status in the campaign.
