How to Set Up and Use OttoMatey Dialer in Your Campaigns

OttoMatey Dialer is a powerful tool designed to enhance your sales outreach by enabling phone calls directly from the OttoMatey platform. It streamlines outbound calling efforts, allowing your team to efficiently engage with leads and prospects while integrating seamlessly into your multi-channel outreach campaigns.


Getting a Dialer Number

  1. Access the Phone Settings

    • Click the Phone icon in the top-right corner of your Workspace.

  2. Obtain a New Number

    • Click Get Started or +New Number to acquire a new phone number.

    • To view your existing numbers, click Switch.

  3. Choose Your Number Preferences

    • Select the country and phone category based on your target geographical area.

    • Enable the SMS option if you’d like to send text messages using the number.

  4. Redirect Inbound Calls and Texts (Optional)

    • Enter a redirect number if you want the purchased number to handle incoming calls or texts.

  5. Finalize Your Purchase

    • Specify the number of phone lines you wish to buy.

    • Click Purchase to complete the process.

Note: Availability and pricing for phone numbers vary by region. Numbers are automatically renewed monthly, and payment is deducted from your OttoMatey Credits.

Adding Dialer Steps to Your Campaigns

1. Create or Edit a Campaign

  • Select an existing campaign or start a new one.

  • For simple campaigns, click Add Step. For advanced workflows, use the Sequence Builder.

2. Add Dialer Actions

  • Choose one of the following options:

    • Make a Call

    • Send SMS

3. Setting Up "Make a Call" Steps

  • When selecting Make a Call, configure the following:

    1. Call Script or Notes: Enter any notes or a script for the call.

    2. Scheduling: Specify the delay (if any) after the previous campaign step.

    3. Assignment: Assign the task to a team member.

    4. Priority Level: Set the priority level (optional).

Important: Prospects will be paused in the campaign until the Make a Call step is completed in the OttoMatey Dashboard.

4. Setting Up "Send SMS" Steps

  • When choosing Send SMS, define these elements:

    1. Sender Number: Select the phone number to send the message from.

    2. Phone Type: Choose between an enriched or personal phone number.

    3. Message Content: Craft a concise, engaging text message.

    4. AI Assistance: If available in your package, use AI to refine your message.

    5. Meeting Links: If connected to Calendly, you can generate and include a meeting link.

5. Approval Settings

  • For added control, enable Manual Approval to review and approve messages before they’re sent.

  • When enabled, the prospect will remain paused until action is taken in the OttoMatey Dashboard.
