Conversations are not synchronizing in the Inbox

If you’ve noticed a mismatch between the messages in your OttoMatey Inbox and those on your LinkedIn profile, don’t worry! You can manually synchronize conversations to resolve this issue.


How Inbox Synchronization Works

Synchronization depends on specific conditions, such as the timing of system activity and your configured synchronization intervals.

Synchronization Intervals

There are two main scenarios for syncing:

  1. System Operating Hours

    • Synchronization occurs at the interval you set (e.g., every 20 minutes).

  2. Outside System Operating Hours

    • Synchronization happens less frequently to optimize performance.

Example

  • You set the synchronization interval to 20 minutes during operating hours.

    • Message 1 arrives, and the system syncs immediately.

    • After 5 minutes, Message 2 arrives.

    • The system waits an additional 15 minutes before syncing again.

If no new notifications are received, the system will not sync until the next scheduled interval.

Common Reasons for Synchronization Gaps

  1. Inactive Campaigns

    • Synchronization pauses for security reasons when no campaigns are running.

  2. Non-Operating Hours

    • Synchronization is less frequent during these times.

  3. Proxy Issues

    • Technical issues with proxies may disrupt synchronization.

How to Configure Synchronization Intervals

  1. Go to the Settings tab.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings > LinkedIn Inbox Sync Interval Settings.

  3. Adjust the synchronization time intervals as needed.

Manually Synchronizing Conversations

If a message appears on your LinkedIn profile but not in OttoMatey after some time, you can manually refresh it:

Refresh a Single Conversation

  1. In your Inbox, locate the conversation.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the conversation.

  3. Select Refresh Dialog to sync the message.

Refresh All Conversations

  1. Go to the bottom of your conversation list.

  2. Click the Refresh button to update all conversations simultaneously.
