Connecting Your LinkedIn Account

Updated over 2 months ago

All OttoMatey accounts require a connected LinkedIn Account. To make this process as seamless as possible, we’ve designed a simple 5-step guide to help you connect your LinkedIn Account.

Step 1: Begin the Setup

  • When you first load your dashboard as a new user, you’ll be prompted to connect your LinkedIn Account.

  • Click Connect Account Manually to proceed.

Step 2: Select Your Location

  • Choose your geographical location from the dropdown menu.

Optional: Custom Proxy (Advanced Only)

  • If you prefer to use a custom proxy, this is where you can input it before proceeding.

  • Selecting Use Domain will switch the IP field to a Domain field, allowing you to enter your domain directly.

Step 3: Configure Time Zone and Work Hours

  • Add your time zone and either accept or adjust your work hours.

Note: Work hours operate on a 24-hour clock. Any time past 11:00 is PM

Step 4: Enter Your LinkedIn Credentials

  • Input your LINKEDIN login details. Ensure you use the correct email address and password.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If your browser tries to autofill credentials here, it will not work. It is trying to autofill your OttoMatey login credentials, not your LinkedIn. These need to be your LINKEDIN credentials.

Step 5: Finalize the Connection

  • Click Connect to complete the setup.

Successful Login Confirmation

  • Once your LinkedIn Account is successfully connected, the blank avatar on the left panel will update to display your LinkedIn profile information.

  • You’ll also receive a notification confirming the connection.

Synchronization Notes:

  • OttoMatey will start synchronizing data from your LinkedIn Profile.

  • If your LinkedIn Account lacks a profile picture, your OttoMatey account will not display one either.

  • If your profile picture fails to display despite being set, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.
