Setting up your OttoMatey AI Employee is simple and designed to empower your campaigns. This guide takes you step-by-step through the process, from account creation to launching tailored campaigns.


How to Create an OttoMatey Account

  1. Visit https://app.ottomatey.com/ and sign up.

  2. Complete the registration and verify your email (you can skip verification for later).

  3. Create your Workspace by entering a name.

  4. Click Start to initiate AI Employee setup, or return to it anytime.


Setting Up Your AI Employee

  1. Customer Type & Target Audience:

    • Select a predefined customer type or input custom criteria for prospects.

    • Enter your company’s website URL for AI to conduct background research (takes 30 seconds).

  2. Review & Finalize Research:

    • Ensure all gathered details are accurate, including the Q&A section generated from the research.

    • Click Hire AI Employee and proceed with payment via Stripe.

  3. Connect Your LinkedIn Account:

    • To connect your LinkedIn Account, follow these article.


Customize Your AI Employee

1. Avatar Selection

Choose an avatar to represent your AI Employee. Compare performance metrics to determine the best fit for your needs.

2. Targeting Configuration

Set your prospect search parameters:

  • Job Title: Select or enter relevant job titles.

  • Country: Currently, United States only.

  • State/Region: Define the targeted state.

  • Industries: Type and select industries of interest.

  • Company Size: Specify company sizes based on employee count.

Click Next to continue.


Objective Configuration

Define your AI Employee’s communication strategy:

  • Problem to Solve: Outline the issue your prospects are facing (e.g., scheduling meetings, streamlining operations).

  • Solution: Describe how your product/service addresses this problem.

  • Interest: Clarify why prospects should engage with your offering.

  • Language: Choose between English, Spanish, French, Arabic, or more.

  • Tone: Set the tone of communication (formal, casual, etc.).

Click Next to proceed.


Optional Customizations

Case Studies

  • Showcase up to 3 examples of your product’s success.

  • Provide details like the company helped and the issue resolved.

Free Value Offers

  • Highlight any free offers for prospects.

  • Include details about the offer and benefits.

Q&A

  • Create a list of questions and answers to help prospects quickly get the information they need.


Calendly Integration

  1. Connect Calendly to automate meeting scheduling with prospects.

  2. Configure meeting settings:

    • Select the user sending invitations.

    • Choose the event type and approval method (manual or automatic).

  3. Set follow-up message preferences.

Click Finish Setup to complete.


Launch AI-Powered Campaigns

  • After setup, your AI Employee will generate five outreach campaigns for review, editing, and launching.

You’ve successfully set up your first AI Employee and are ready to automate and optimize your outreach campaigns.
