Amazon SES Integration

Connecting your Amazon SES mailbox to OttoMatey allows you to manage email campaigns with ease. Follow this step-by-step guide to integrate your Amazon SES account and start sending emails.


Prerequisite: Connect via SMTP

Before integrating Amazon SES with OttoMatey, you must first connect your mailbox via SMTP. For instructions, refer to our SMTP Setup Guide.

How to Connect Amazon SES to OttoMatey

  1. Navigate to the Mailboxes tab.

  2. Click + Connect Mailbox.

  3. From the list of email services, select Amazon SES.

  4. Fill in the required fields:

    • Enter your Amazon SES Region (e.g., US West, US East, or Europe).


How to Find Your Amazon SES Access Key and Secret Key

  1. Log in to your Amazon SES account.

  2. Click on your username in the top-right corner and select Security Credentials.

  3. Scroll down to the Access Keys section and click Create Access Key.

  4. Your Access Key and Secret Key will be displayed.

    • Important: Save these keys immediately, as the Secret Key will only be shown once.

  5. Return to OttoMatey, paste the keys into their respective fields, and click Save to complete the integration.


Test Your Email Connection

To ensure your Amazon SES mailbox is properly connected, send a test email:

  1. Go to the Campaigns tab in OttoMatey.

  2. Open a campaign with a Send Email step and click Edit.

  3. Select a Send Email step and click Send Test.

  4. Enter the email address where you’d like to send the test email.

  5. Check your inbox for the test email.

    • If it arrives successfully, your Amazon SES integration is complete!
