Manual Approval in OttoMatey gives you control over campaign steps by allowing you to review and approve specific actions before they proceed. This guide explains how to use the feature effectively, whether for individual steps or across an entire workspace.
What Is Manual Approval?
Manual Approval is a feature that enables you to review and approve specific steps in your campaign, particularly those involving text, such as Send Message.
When enabled, you’ll need to approve each step manually before it moves forward. For example, if you activate Manual Approval for the Send Message step, it will appear like this during setup:
How Manual Approval Works
Approving Steps
Once Manual Approval is toggled on, tasks requiring your input will appear in the Prospects tab.
For each task, you have three options:
Approve: Allows the step to proceed as planned.
Skip: Bypasses the step and moves to the next one in the campaign.
Hold: Pauses the prospect with a "Profile action was held" notification. The task will remain active and can be resumed once you approve it.
Managing Approvals for Specific Prospects
To review tasks for a particular prospect:
Open the prospect’s info card.
Select Tasks from the menu.
Choose to Approve, Skip, or Hold the task.
Filtering Prospects by Approval Status
You can easily filter prospects based on their approval status:
Navigate to the Prospects tab.
Click the Filter icon.
Select Approval Status and check the box for the desired status.
Note: The Skipped status is currently not trackable within OttoMatey.
Workspace-Wide Manual Approval
For Admin Accounts
Admins can enable Manual Approval across an entire workspace:
Go to the Admin Panel.
Select the desired workspace.
Navigate to Manage > Enable Manual Approval.
Once enabled, every text-based step in the workspace will require manual approval.
